Location: Greater Chicagoland Area
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent | Inpatient & Outpatient
Schedule: Monday – Friday Flexible Schedule | Clinic 2x/Week | Call Rotation 1:4 to 1:6
An established, highly regarded healthcare system in Greater Chicagoland area is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Interventional Pulmonologist to join its growing, physician-led group practice.
Located just 30 minutes from downtown Chicago, this position offers the ideal combination of subspecialty clinical practice, high-tech hospital infrastructure, and exceptional work-life balance. Practice in a HIMSS Stage VII environment featuring full EPIC EHR integration with modern AI functionality. You will collaborate with a collegial team of physicians who are eager to provide mentorship and support as you build a practice tailored to your subspecialty interests and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient interventional pulmonology care, advanced diagnostic procedures, and consultative care
Maintain a balanced schedule operating in clinic 2 days per week alongside dedicated inpatient procedural days
Participate in an equitable, manageable call rotation of 1:4 to 1:6
Utilize cutting-edge clinical tools and EPIC EHR with AI-driven documentation enhancements
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary network of specialists, primary care providers, and hospital leaders
Help shape subspecialty clinical protocols while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited medical school (MD or DO).
Fellowship-trained in Interventional Pulmonology; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonology and Interventional Pulmonology.
Active and unrestricted Indiana medical license (or eligible for state licensure within 90–120 days).
Strong clinical competency in advanced airway, pleural, and interventional pulmonary procedures with an interest in tailoring practice focus to long-term goals.
