Compensation: $350,000 per year

Location: Mattoon, Illinois (with regional clinic hub coverage)
We have partnered closely with a premier regional healthcare facility to recruit a full-time, Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) Rheumatologist. Operating out of a main logistical hub in Mattoon, this position offers a highly collaborative and customizable practice design. You will step into a highly organized regional network alongside an established mid-level support team, allowing you to maximize your clinical throughput and production potential while maintaining a premier work-life balance.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative rheumatologic care for a full spectrum of autoimmune and musculoskeletal diseases.
Coordinate patient care and rotation across an established regional network.
Collaborate fluidly within a team-based care model, partnering alongside the department's existing physician and two experienced Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
Customize your optimal clinical schedule, with choices ranging from a traditional Monday–Friday (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) setup to an accessible 4-day condensed work week.
Manage minor clinical call responsibilities, restricted primarily to reviewing critical patient lab values as needed (no arduous, traditional hospital call burdens).
Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely electronic medical records for all clinical encounters and specialized infusions.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
Successful completion of an accredited Internal Medicine Residency followed by a Rheumatology Fellowship
Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Rheumatology
Active, unrestricted Illinois state medical license (or immediate eligibility to obtain)
Valid DEA registration
Exceptional interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to mid-level provider supervision and team medicine
