Position Overview:
We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine physician to join a dynamic and expanding medical team. This role offers the chance to engage in high-acuity practice, delivering comprehensive pulmonary and critical care services to a diverse patient population in the Wiregrass region.
Responsibilities:
Manage critically ill patients in the ICU setting
Evaluate and treat complex pulmonary disorders
Address conditions such as respiratory failure, COPD, asthma, pulmonary hypertension, and pneumonia
Conduct ICU consultations and collaborate with hospitalists and specialists
Provide evaluations and follow-up care in the pulmonary clinic
Perform procedures including bronchoscopy and other critical care interventions
Engage in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives
Mentor residents and medical students
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Qualifications:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine
Eligible for medical licensure in Alabama
Strong clinical and procedural skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care
