Executive Director / Licensed Nursing Home Administrator

A premier nonprofit skilled nursing facility Connecticut is seeking an Executive Director / Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) to provide overall operational and strategic leadership.
This position oversees daily operations, drives high-quality resident care, ensures strict state and federal regulatory compliance, manages fiscal resources, and fosters a collaborative, team-oriented workplace culture. You will maintain a long-standing tradition of outstanding clinical outcomes, operational excellence, and resident-focused care.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and clear direction to staff members across all facility departments, building collaboration and supporting professional growth
Oversee day-to-day operations of the skilled nursing facility to ensure continuous, high-quality care delivery and outstanding resident outcomes
Ensure full compliance with all applicable State of Connecticut and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing homes
Demonstrate financial and operational management by developing and overseeing budgets and allocating organizational resources effectively
Foster a positive, supportive, and collaborative workplace culture that promotes staff retention and teamwork
Engage directly with residents and their families to maintain a resident- and family-focused culture, support positive care outcomes, and maximize overall satisfaction
Lead facility quality assurance, regulatory audit preparation, risk management, and performance improvement initiatives
Participate in community engagement, organizational initiatives, and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Licensure: Active, unrestricted Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) license in the State of Connecticut is required
Experience: Proven executive or administrator leadership experience within a skilled nursing facility environment
Regulatory Expertise: Strong, in-depth knowledge of Connecticut state health department codes and federal CMS regulations governing nursing facilities
Financial Acumen: Demonstrated track record of successful budget development, cost management, and resource allocation
Leadership Skills: Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills with a proven ability to mentor staff and build cohesive teams
Decision-Making: Sound judgment and critical problem-solving skills to manage operational, clinical, staffing, and family concerns effectively
