Location: Long Island City / Queens, New York
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent | Direct Hire
A dedicated community healthcare organization is seeking a full-time Family Medicine Physician to join its health center in Long Island City, New York.
This direct-hire position provides comprehensive primary care to a diverse patient population spanning pediatric, adolescent, and adult care. Working in both a clinic setting and partner community sites, you will deliver full-scope family medicine, supervise advanced practice providers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to advance health equity and preventative care in the community.
Key Responsibilities
Provide primary medical care, comprehensive well-care examinations, physicals, and gynecological care across pediatric, adolescent, and adult patient populations
Diagnose acute and chronic conditions, write prescriptions, and inform patients regarding prescribed treatment plans
Direct the course of patient medical treatment, answer clinical inquiries, and manage electronic health record (EHR) documentation
Supervise Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in accordance with collaborative practice agreements, providing clinical guidance and technical support
Coordinate care through specialist referrals, case management, on-site behavioral health, and community advocacy resources
Participate in rotated shared call coverage, peer reviews, clinical guideline development, and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine; active DEA registration
Active, unrestricted New York State Medical License AND active status as a New York State Individual Medicaid Provider
Minimum of 2 years of clinical Family Medicine experience required
Bilingual fluency in Spanish or other languages is preferred
